The Crossing Church in Worksop marked its 20th anniversary with a joyful Flower Festival weekend that brought together church members, visitors, volunteers and the wider community in celebration and thanksgiving.
The church building was beautifully decorated with a wide range of floral displays, each carefully arranged to help commemorate two decades of worship, fellowship and service in Worksop. Visitors were welcomed across the weekend to enjoy the displays, refreshments in the café, and entertainment provided throughout the event.
The celebrations began on Saturday 16th May, when the church opened its doors to the public. Many local residents and supporters came along to admire the flowers, spend time together and reflect on the life of the church over the past twenty years. The displays remained available to view during the special Celebration Service on Sunday morning, led by guest preacher Rev’d Mark Pengelly, before the church reopened again on Monday morning.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who contributed to the success of the festival — from those who designed and arranged the displays, to the volunteers who served refreshments, welcomed guests and helped behind the scenes.
The weekend was not only a celebration of the church’s history, but also an opportunity to look ahead with gratitude and hope for the future.
