The Board of Directors of The Crossing Café Limited have decided after much careful consideration and with deep regret to close the company with immediate effect.

This means the café will not be reopening and the staff team have been made redundant.

The past year has been very difficult with limited trade due to the Covid-19 pandemic and with ongoing uncertainties about the future the financial position of the Company has needed detailed analysis.

After much discussion and consideration of all other options it is with great sadness and regret that this decision has been taken.

The Board of Directors have said 'We would like to express great thanks and gratitude to the staff team (past and present) who have served the café so diligently over the years. In particular the café has always been known for its special atmosphere as the staff team cared for and supported the customers over the years – it was always so much more than just a café and we are so grateful for the hard work and care of our staff team and volunteers.''
