Women's Fellowship
Kath Jordan brought us a talk this week that was both challenging and entertaining!
First we saw the dog lead [we looked for the dog but she wasn't there!!! Maybe next time, Kath?] We listened as Kath told us what the walk with her dog meant to her; Contemplation and prayer in the quietness when no-one was around, remembering perhaps tears and joy. The quietness disturbed [happily] when meeting with other folk on the walk as they shared time together.
Then out came a piece of slate - when in it's raw state it was 'not a pretty' sight, but when worked by the craftsmen it became useful in some cases [roof tiles etc.] and ornate in others when made into ornaments such as coasters etc. A reminder that our lives are enhanced when we have the love of God in them.
Then out came the swinging clubs. Kath told us a little of how she came to use these as a child and because she was so small had to have special ones made for her. [We are hoping that one day we will see a display!] We were reminded by Kath how important it is to respect other for who they are.
Next week we will be welcoming Harold and Joan into our fellowship and we look forward to 'having a lovely holiday' as they show us some of their photographs. Everyone is welcome to join us.
