Report of Women’s Fellowship Meeting – Monday 8th February 2010:

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away”.  This was the title of Bob Fearn’s talk to the ladies of the Women’s Fellowship on Monday.
After the devotions led by Pauline Rogers, Bob showed us some wonderful slides of some of the most beautiful places in the world which he and Ann have visited and which truly astounded them both.  The pictures were varied and ranged from the day that “The Crossing” was opened to glaziers in Alaska, from bears strolling around in Canada to the tranquil coast of New Zealand.  All were so awesome as was Bob’s account of the time he and Ann went on a “simulated” trip to Mars!
Bob had a message for us all and that is that while we can see and appreciate all the lovely places and sights of the world, we must also look and see when our neighbours are in distress or need help as that is what Jesus came to teach us to do and we must not let the glories of this world blind us to other’s needs. Altogether a truly inspiring afternoon.
Next week, Linda Lees will conduct the service and will also give a talk, Linda always has something fascinating to tell us so do come – everyone welcome
