A warm welcome is extended to members of the National Trust, staff and volunteers to join the North Notts. Association of National Trust Members, Staff and Volunteers.  The annual membership is just £6.00 and this entitles members to join in monthly talks during the winter months and outings during the summer.

The monthly talks, usually held on the third Wednesday, are held at the Crossing in Worksop and cover a variety of topics from a trip round the Orkneys, a railway walk in Derbyshire and behind the scenes at Hardwick Hall, all illustrated.  In short, something for everyone. The talks commence at 7.30pm and admission costs just £3.00 for Association members and £3.50 for visitors. The Crossing provides a friendly welcome, a warm, comfortable room, tea and coffee making facilities enabling members to have a drink and biscuit before the talk, a loop induction system and the necessary equipment including microphones. The Crossing is very central for members and nearby is a very convenient free car park.

During the summer the heavily subscribed trips go near and far. Last summer visits were made to Wentworth Woodhouse and Nostell Priory, Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House and Bramall Hall and Gawsworth Hall. Normally there are facilities to buy lunch during the course of the day.

At the end of the financial year surplus funds are donated to a National Trust property requiring help with a specific project.  For example, money has been given to the Discovery Centre at Clumber Park, for benches at Hardwick Hall in memory of a deceased member and, latterly, for garden interpretation boards and costumes at Southwell Workhouse.

If you are interested in joining the Association please come along to a taster evening as a guest  or  contact the Chairman on 01246 810763.
