About the Crossing Church

Friendship and Fellowship
Faith in Jesus is about being part of the family of the Church – brothers and sisters in Christ. We hope that people will find that family dimension to the Church’s life means friendships can be made. We are always seeking new opportunities for those friendships to develop. Our programme of events bring opportunities for all ages to get to know each other.

Work and Witness
People work and witness for God in many ways here, not just through the things that happen on our premises of course, but in daily living and supporting others as well. We hope that everything we do speaks of God's love, from our Cafe and Welcome Desk to the way we provide facilities for community groups. We support others such as Christian Aid and Traidcraft and have an active in-house 'Charities Committee' that directs and funds our support of others groups. Associated with the Church is a Social Enterprise Company, which seeks to support and develop work in the community.

Children and Young People
We encourage younger people to be part of the church family as much as we can. During our Sunday service a crèche is available and activity packs are at the rear of the worship area where someone will supervise any young people. Our work in this way helps all learn about the love of God.

Our Church Connections
The Crossing is a partnership of the Methodist and United Reformed Churches. Both of these denominations witness as part of a network of Churches through Great Britain and beyond. The Methodist church is part of the Trinity Circuit of Churches, and the United Reformed Church is part of the East Midlands Synod. Locally we work with many other Churches as part of 'Churches Working Together' in Worksop and we also actively support Bassetlaw Street Pastors scheme.
