The Crossing Church and Centre

The Crèche is run by a team of volunteers. For the very young there are plenty of toys available to play with. Parents are welcome to stay with the children but if they like they can leave them and go back and join the service. Leaders provide an activity for the older once in the group. This can be anything to colouring, sticking, or listening to a story, prepared with a Bible theme in mind.

This group has again there own team of volunteers and meets in Sherwood. As the children in this group are a bit older, the group is more structured. They often started with a short prayer, a Bible reading, and or story. Children are encouraged to take part in discussion and share there own thoughts which is often followed by an activity and sometimes a game or two.

This group has two volunteers and meets in Hardwick. Young people of age 10 - 14 meet together for a time of Bible study and discussion. The majority of young people age 15 and over join the Church service. Some volunteer to be helpers in the crèche, Junior Church, help on the computer desk or become stewards.

Some of the work that our young people are doing can be seen on the display boards opposite the lift or in the crèche room.
