The Crossing Church and Centre

The facilities here at The Crossing are to be used for the benefit not only of the Church, but the Worksop Community as well. Our premises are already used by many various groups, who pay for the facilities accordingly, and we welcome further enquiries. Some users are businesses & local authorities but most are community groups and charities benefiting the people of Bassetlaw. This is part of our outreach work to the local community.

What Does Room Or Hall Hire Cost ?

Charges currently range from £6.50 per hour for the smallest location.  (Significant discounts are available for regular bookings).

We have considerable pricing flexibility and – as indicated to our various funding bodies - the cost quoted to you depends on the nature of your organisation (e.g. large, small, community, voluntary, charity, revenue-generating, self-funding, grant-funded, small local business or trader, large commercial business etc).

How to request a Quote?

(i) Complete a booking enquiry form available from the welcome desk at The Crossing Church & Centre, Newcastle Street, Worksop, Notts. S80 2AT

(ii) Call 01909 473375 and ask for Anne Taylor, Social Enterprise Development Manager

A range of supporting equipment is available for hire per booking, includes use of a small PA system (mic & CD); large PA system (24 channel desk); projector in sanctuary; lighting system is not yet available; portable LCD projector and screen; VHS and DVD player/screen combos: flipchart and pens etc

Booking conditions

We want your experience at The Crossing to be a safe and enjoyable one. We want to ensure that all that happens on our premises meets requirements relating to health and safety, fire safety and the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Regular users are asked to sign a license agreement.

How hire costs are set

Our commitment is to keep hire charges to a minimum for community and voluntary groups and charities and this was made clear to the funders of this building. As managing trustees we also have the responsibility to maintain the financial and practical viability of The Crossing Church & Centre.  Therefore, the managing trustees reserve the right to amend hire charges with not less than four weeks' notice.  However, high levels of bookings will make this unnecessary and YOU can help to make this so!
